Creative coding: Bear in city(week 8)

This week I designed a game named bear in city using Scratch. The player controls a bear using the keyboard to move around, and the goal is to catch humans to score points. If the bear touches poison, the score resets to zero. During the game designing process, I made some mistakes with the order of commands, which caused difficulties, such as not being able to adjust the score as I had intended. However, throughout the whole process, I learned a lot and gained a good understanding of the basics of Scratch.

This is the link of the game: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/1084841695

I also played a game on Scratch called “Balloon,” where the player controls a character to avoid obstacles while flying. This game gave me part of the inspiration for designing my own game.

  2. Hey! "Bear in City" is such a cool game idea! The concept of controlling a bear in the city to catch humans, with the added twist of avoiding poison, makes it really fun and keeps players on their toes. It's awesome to see how you worked through some coding challenges, like fixing the score adjustments—those little bumps in the road always end up being great learning moments.

Maybe for the next version, you could add some different obstacles or even power-ups to make it even more exciting. You could also play around with difficulty levels to make it more challenging as the score goes up. Overall, awesome work—your game really shows how much you've learned with Scratch!
